Her I try to show you the evolution from the base image to the painting in the making in my sudio... Since my client was 1200km away I regularly sent him some pictures to keep him posted about the evolution.

The client commishioned a wall filling Le Mans painting... But that large canvas would be a problem to get out of my studio, and to transport... So I proposed a 3 piece image. I first determined the best way to split up the requested format, and then I looked for an image that worked on this 3 divisions...

These pictures were taken the weekend we drove down to Biarritz to deliver this large special order 'Le Mans Start' painting, to Hotel 7b. We had a great weekend, and were warmly welcomed by our client! We were very happy to stay in the then still unfinished hotel.

After the long and lonely days and nights of work and effort I put in it, It was rewarding to see the client so happy. After a little personalisation from the racing numbers on the cars, It was exactly what he wanted and had imagined! Thank god!

They had allready painted the wall to have a preview from how it would look. But I had to wait a few more weeks to see it in the fully furnished Hotel.

This client requested a porsche 917 painting for his office. When I visited the light blue company colour office, it was obvious which 917 to paint!  The nr 20 Gulf Wyer 917, the star car of Steve McQueen's epic movie Le Mans.

2 Porsche GT3  paintings I made for the Driver and Co-Driver from this 911 GT3 rally car.

The 2 paintings are not identical but fairly similar. Therefore I painted them at the same time.

For the Brussels collection car fair in 2008 i teamed up with some friends who wanted to sell same cars.
